ISA RULES AND DIFFERENCES

 

  • 10U PITCHING DISTANCE 35’—–60’ BASES
  • 12U PITCHING DISTANCE 40’—–60’ BASES
  • 14U PITCHING DISTANCE 43’—–60’ BASES
  • 16U PITCHING DISTANCE 43’—–60’ BASES
  • Double base will be used.
  • Lineups shall consist of a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 14 players. (Maximum 11 batters), the designated hitter, Base Bandit, and 2 legal extra players and 2 defensive players are used.
  • EP’s can play defense. If an EP is used, they must be used the entire game.
  • Base Bandit is allowed to run once per half inning. If they enter the game the BB is lost.
  • DEFO’s are allowed to play in any position, in any inning at any time. If DEFO enters the game, the DEFO is lost.
  • Courtesy Runner will be allowed for the pitcher or catcher only. This can be anyone in the offensive line-up.
  • Conferences—a manager and/or team representative shall be allowed only one charged conference with a batter or base runner in any one inning. (A strike will be called on the batter if more than one conference occurs.)
  • ITB—the offensive team shall begin its turn at bat with the last player to have completed a turn at bat, being placed on second base.
  • Pitching Conferences—there shall be only one charged conference between the manager or other team representative from the dugout, with each and every pitcher or defensive player in an inning. The second charged conference shall result in the removal of the pitcher from the pitching position for the remainder of the game.
  • The batter may not intentionally wipe out any portion of the lines of the batter’s box. (the umpire will call a strike on the batter)
  • On Deck Circle—the on deck batter shall take a position within the lines of the on deck circle that is behind the batter that is in the batter’s box.
  • Run Rules—12 after 3—–10 after 4—–8 after 5.
